Frequently asked questions

The Basics: "How Does This Work?"

What is a Tarot reading?

A Tarot reading is a tool for self-reflection and insight. The cards act as a mirror to your subconscious, helping you gain a new perspective on your current situation, challenges, and opportunities.

Is Tarot fortune-telling?

Not exactly. While it can highlight potential paths and outcomes based on your current energy, it is not a fixed "prediction" of the future. You always have free will. The cards show you where you are headed so you can decide if you want to stay on that path or change direction.

How often should I get a reading?

It depends on the situation, but generally, it’s best to wait at least 1–3 months between readings on the same topic. This gives the energy time to shift and allows you to take action on the guidance provided.

Preparing for Your Session

How should I prepare for my reading?

Find a quiet space where you won't be interrupted. Take a few deep breaths and try to arrive with an open mind. If you have specific topics in mind, write them down beforehand so we can make the most of our time.

Do I need to do anything after the reading?

I recommend grounding yourself, drink some water, go for a walk, or journal about your insights. Tarot can be emotionally stirring, so give yourself grace to process the information.

What if I get a 'scary' card like Death or The Devil?

Don't worry! In Tarot, these cards are rarely literal. Death usually signifies a much-needed ending or transformation, and The Devil often represents patterns or habits that are holding you back. There are no "bad” cards in a tarot deck.

Asking the Right Questions

What kind of questions can I ask?

Open-ended questions work best. Instead of "Will I get the job?", try:

• "What do I need to know about my career path right now?"

• "How can I better align with my professional goals?"

Are there things you won't read about?

• Medical/Legal advice: I am not a doctor or lawyer.

• Third-party "spying": i will not read about someone else's private thoughts or actions without their consent.

• Lottery numbers/Gambling.

Ethics & Policies

Can I get a refund if I don't like the reading?

Typically, tarot readings are non-refundable as you are paying for the reader's time and energy. However, if there is a technical issue (e.g. connection issues or technical problems), exceptions can be made.

Is my reading confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is paramount. Anything discussed during a session or shared in a written reading stays between us.

Do I have to be "spiritual" for this to work?

Not at all. Tarot can be used as a psychological tool for brainstorming or as a spiritual practice for connecting with intuition. Skeptics are always welcome!
